TO Brazil implemented a complete Oracle Hyperion EPM solution in one of the largest state-owned banks in Latin America. All the challenges resulting from such a comprehensive and pioneering implementation were overcome during implementation and the project came to fruition and was considered a success; And motivated other areas of the Bank to implement other Oracle solutions.

The company worked with Oracle during the implementation of the following products:

– Oracle Hyperion Planning;
– Oracle Hyperion Financial Management;
– Oracle Data Relationship Management;
– Oracle Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management;
– Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition;
– Oracle Essbase.

Banco do Brasil has accepted the challenge of improving its decision making by automating all processing and data loading procedures to be more efficient during the Budget and monthly closing processes.

The solution implemented during the year 2015 had a robust architecture to guarantee more than 200 Planning users and 600 OBIEE users.

As a result, the organization achieved a high level of efficiency in information processing and drastically reduced budget simulation time by approximately 80%.

This reduction in time allowed the increase in the simulations and consequently faster results. With the Oracle BIEE tool, all financial information was processed in minutes, which was previously scattered across multiple worksheets.

Today, the board can get quality data quickly, to analyze and make decisions with the security of having a unique view of the information, and at the same time being able to access everything through mobile devices.

Liquigás

One of the highlights of 2012 was the project for Liquigás Distribuidora, the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) company of the Petrobras System, which is the market leader in gas cylinders up to 13 kg – the most used in residences for cooking food – and one of the largest distributors of LPG in the country. The proposal was to create a solution for budget planning and budgeting according to the GMD (Matrix Expense Management) methodology.

TO Brasil has been assisting the company in supporting budget solutions (PAN) since 2010 and identified that all demand for GMD, which was carried out outside this platform – in electronic spreadsheets – could be integrated. Thus, the project was born to contemplate 150 users, divided between the business and corporate areas, and using the Oracle Hyperion Planning solution. The objectives were:

– Promote the decentralization of the budget of expenditures, not feasible in spreadsheets;;
– Optimize the budget cycle by reducing the time spent on operational work, which enables the focus of the budget management team on data analysis and strategic repositioning;
– Enable greater control and accuracy of costs incurred and consequent cost reduction;
– Agility, flexibility, integrity and security in the budgeting and follow-up process.

It is estimated that there will be a reduction in spending budget cycles from two months to one month and monthly closure from eight days to three days, as well as the integration of information extracted directly from the ERP.

TO Brasil, Brazilian provider of information technology solutions, was hired by Passarelli to deploy the Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) solution. The company intends, therefore, to achieve the total consolidation of its financial data, from the standardization of processes to the generation of financial statements.

The contract was signed in March and deployment started this month. The scope of work also includes the integration of the HFM module with Oracle’s business management software (ERP), which will be deployed in parallel, as well as initial support in the management and use of the HFM application.

As a result of constant external audits, Passarelli identified the need to have its financial process consolidated into one system. “We needed to structure all company data to provide more consistent and consolidated information to Passarelli’s board. Oracle’s HFM module was the only product that proved to be 100% suitable, “says the director of construction company Passarelli, Augusto von Ellenrieder. The executive also points out that the old financial management system did not meet the demands of the company, as well as being incompatible with Oracle’s ERP and lacking adequate technical support to the company’s demands.

When choosing the solution that best met the contractor’s business expectations, the next step was to choose the vendor to deploy the system.

Passarelli needed a company with extensive experience in Oracle systems integration with senior professionals. In addition, another point that weighed in the choice for TO Brazil was the commitment assumed for the faithful fulfillment of the deadlines pre-established by the construction company and the scope of the project. “This partnership has everything to be a success. The biggest differential of TO Brazil is the security and knowledge of the team involved and this will certainly result in the successful implementation of the solution, “says Ellenrieder.

The implementation process of the HFM solution is expected to last four months and involves more than ten professionals, and one of the consultants of TO Brasil will be allocated in the customer’s office in São Paulo. >
This project will already use the best system development practices proposed by the national MPS.Br certification. TO Brazil has recently achieved the F-level of the quality seal and, as a result, the company has been able to reduce project costs, adding more value to the client’s business and at a lower price. “With the HFM module deployed by TO Brazil, Passarelli will have the vision of the company as a whole, allowing a more effective monitoring of results by managers. In addition, it will drastically reduce the time for the closing of accounts, meeting the requirements established by regulations of the financial area, “explains the commercial manager of TO Brasil, Paulo Coutinho.

Founded in 1932, Passarelli is a traditional company in the field of civil construction, with national operations. Headquartered in São Paulo and offices in Rio de Janeiro, Bahia and Ceará.
